Since 2022, I’ve regularly gone live on Twitch to play “cozy games” and nostalgic point-and-clicks. I’m working my way through Her Interactive’s Nancy Drew games. As of February 15th, 2024, I have played 13 of the 34 games.

I have also played a number of Life is Strange and Legend of Zelda games on the channel, and am compiling a list of recommended games so that my viewers can get a more personal nostalgia experience.

I like video game streaming because it’s a virtual social space with a variable level of connection (for example, “lurking” is having the stream on but not actively participating in chat, a great option when you want to be a fly on the wall, so to speak). As a viewer, I find streams to be helpful while I’m working, cleaning, or cooking, since it brightens up my environment with engaging background noise.
